What to expect

Visiting for the first time
Most people come to church for the first time to Trinity Baptist Church on a Sunday Morning. Our service begins at 10:30am. You will be made very welcome. There is no special seating arrangement or dress code.
Our service lasts around 1hr to 1hr 15mins. The order is explained from the front. There songs for which we stand to sing together with the words projected on the wall at the front. Our songs are from a range of contemporary and traditional sources. Prayers are said from the front of the church, a section from the Bible is read and this is explained by one of our preachers during the sermon. When explorers and focus are running the children usually go out to the rear hall with the children's team around 20 minutes into the service. Tea and coffee are served in the rear hall after the service.
For visitors who have never been to a church before or who are not Christians, church can be a warm and inviting place to be and you will learn much about the Christian faith if you regularly attend. No-one is made to feel uncomfortable or has to sing or say things which they don't (yet!) believe.
Communion Services
Twice a month (normally, the morning of the 2nd Sunday and the evening of the 4th Sunday) we have a time of communion where we remember Jesus death by sharing bread and wine (grape juice) which is passed around the church. Visitors from other churches who believe in the Lord Jesus as their Saviour are welcome to take part. Otherwise, it is just a case of letting the bread and wine pass by and using the time for quiet reflection.
Sunday Evenings
Sunday evenings services are held every Sunday at 6:30pm. These are a little more informal in style and often include times of open prayer when those who wish to do so can pray out loud in turn. The Bible passages we look at are generally more in depth and are a great opportunity to learn more about God's word and increase in our love for the Lord and his church. Sunday evenings are equally open to visitors.
